Hey New Kid, the day has finally arrived! The release of SOUTH PARK: SNOW DAY! Don't mess this up! (Arrh man, of course he's going to mess things up. He's the new kid after all, that's what he does!)

SOUTH PARK: SNOW DAY! is a roguelike co-op action adventure with crazy combat and explosive fart power. It's everything you know and love about South Park, but multi-player and in 3D!

For a behind the scenes look at the franchise's move away from two-dimensional, turn-based RPG gameplay, you should check out SOUTH PARK: SNOW DAY! From 2D to 3D! For now, to celebrate the launch of the latest in this crude and colorful satirical series, here's Trey and Matt talk about the New Kid SOUTH PARK: SNOW DAY!

OK new kid, you ready to come play another game?

Described by co-creators Trey and Matt as the saddest casualty of the pandemic, with school closures now resulting in remote learning rather than days off, Snow Days are a highlight of any kid's life. I mean, what's not to love about pounding your mates with snowballs and precariously plummeting down the highest slope you can find when you should be studying math? Hence the inspiration behind the setting of SOUTH PARK: SNOW DAY!

Having had his wish come true, Cartman awakes to a blizzard so strong, the town is in panic. The death count is mounting, and toilet paper is in scarcity. He is delighted! Snow Day everyone, no school!

The New Kid

In the same way that Kenny dies in every show, the New Kid has become a South Park staple. He's been with us since the first RPG, and he's here to stay. A voiceless blank slate who's always screwing up the games and bearing the brunt of Cartman's frustrations: ..as you can see, we've had to make some changes to the game because some asshole, who we won't name, decided to be become all powerful and ruin stick of truth because then everyone wanted to be all powerful and nobody could die anymore. (Recognize the jibe at the use of overpowered tricks in previous games?!)

As well as being on the receiving end of Cartman's frustrations, which is pretty hilarious, the other cool thing about playing as the New Kid is that you get to create a South-Park-inspired version of yourself. The fact that the character doesn't talk, also means you don't have that awkward moment where, no matter how you customize your avatar in a video game, you always end up sounding something like the Terminator. So, that's an added bonus!

Go make memories!

As toilet paper becomes the new gold, SOUTH PARK: SNOW DAY! will see you battle through the 'burbs of small town Colorado with your mates, engaging in a fantasy war, the rules of which change the instant a “bullshit” card drops and havoc erupts. Full of farts and poop-powered antics, this is the kind of game that Cartman, Kenny, Kyle, and Stan would love! A return to the carefree days of childhood, it's fun, engrossing, and gross. Just try not to mess things up, OK New Kid!
